Good time with our guests
We had a beer with our sweet guests that stayed at one of our vacation rentals for a month.
They are going back to Canada tonight.
バケーションレンタルのゲストと一緒にビールを飲みながら、、、。
ハワイにひと月滞在後、今夜カナダへ帰国されます。
We are living in Waikiki but did not know that there is a farmers market inside the Hyatt Regency hotel.
Malasada is $1 a piece and 2 cucumbers are only $1.
ワイキキに住んでいますが、ハイアット リージェンシーホテルの中でファーマーズマーケットがあるとは知りませんでした。手前はマラサダ1個1ドル、きゅうりは2本で1ドルと結構安いのです。

Remodel update
It was cheaper to buy new doors than to repair the old ones.
It's good to paint twice.
ドアなどは労賃をかけて修繕するよりも、新しいのを買ったほうがずっとお得でした。ペンキは2度塗りします。
Today the A/C was installed.

Dim sum
We went to Happy Day seafood restaurant today. We've been there a few times but this was the first to have dim sum.
When we arrived at 10 o'clock there was hardly anyone in the whole restaurant.
We felt disappointed because we thought this must not be a good place for dim sum.
About 11 o'clock were surprised that a bunch of people (most of them elderly) came in and filled up the tables. Local elderly people must love to get together at dim sum for lunch!
今日はハッピーデーというシーフード中華料理店へ行ってきました。夕食には数回行ったことがありますが飲茶は初めてです。
10時頃行ったのですが人もまばら、、、飲茶では人気がないお店なのだなぁとがっかりしてましたら、11時を過ぎた途端にご老人たちがグループで入ってきて、たちまち満席。平日でもローカルの人たち、特にご年配の人たちは、お仲間での飲茶がお好きなようです。

Almost done!
The Refrigerator and stove have arrived. Now we need an air conditioner, a new front door and then put on the finishing touches. It may done in a few more days.
今日は、注文してあった冷蔵庫とストーブが予定通り入りました。
あとは、エアコンやドアその他細かいところを仕上げ、数日で完成です。

Our remodeling project
Our drywall man flew in from the Big Island. He runs marathons wearing those stilts! He made all new walls and ceiling for us!
ハワイ島から来てもらった左官屋さんです。この人は、こんな竹馬をつけてマラソンするのが趣味とか、、、仕事も早くてビックリです。天井も壁も全て新しくなりました。
