Open house

We went to an open house in downtown Honolulu today. They painted the walls and it looked nice but the cabinet doors were not done well; everything needed one more coat of paint; the work was sloppy, too.

今日はホノルルダウンタウンのオープンハウスの見学へ行ってきました。壁は新しくペンキが塗られて良かったのですが、キャビネットのドアは、もう1~2回重ね塗りが必要です。仕上げが雑で残念でした。

The Boss

This beautiful lady is Paru, our guest from San Diego. Her husband wants to buy a house in the country in Hawaii but she wants to be in town. Her husband is smart enough to know that she is the boss.

この美女はパルさん、サンディエゴからのお客様です。ご主人はハワイの田舎で、小さな家を買って住みたいそうですが、奥様は賑やかな街での暮らしがすき、、、夫婦円満のためには、奥様の言うことを聞かなければならないとわかっている賢い旦那様でした。

Kimchi house

We visited an open house today.

There were three refrigerators filled with kimchi ingredients and home made Shoyu in large bottles, all in the living room.  Unique Asian culture is still alive here in Hawaii. Are they going to make a lots of kimchi and give it to their friends?

あるお宅のオープンハウスに行ってきました。冷蔵庫が3台もリビングに並んいて、その中はキムチの材料でいっぱい、大きなガラスの瓶には自家製の醤油も保存されていました。こんなユニークなアジア文化がハワイでは生きています。たくさんキムチを作っておすそ分けするのかな？

 

Painter

We met a painter to get an estimate to paint the interior walls. We are going to get bids from three companies for our client. Gelene has been a resident of Hawaii for 38 years and is owner of the company.

今日は室内の壁のペンキを塗り変えるために、見積もりに来てもらいました。お客様のための見積もりは３件から貰います。ゲレネさんはハワイ在住38年、ペンキ会社のオーナーです。
