Board of director's meeting at Aloha Towers

We attended the board of director's meeting at Aloha Towers tonight.

We feel this is one of the best maintained buildings in Waikiki; it is very clean everywhere. 

There are many old condos in Waikiki.

You have to be careful if you purchase a property just because the sale price is inexpensive. 

You may have to face a special assesment in the future. We always check to see how much reserve funds the AOAO has.

今夜はアロハタワーズの年1回のボード オブ デイレクターミーティングに出席しました。

ワイキキの中でも管理が大変良いビルの一つです。掃除が隅々まで行き届き、とても綺麗です。ワイキキには古いコンドがたくさんありますが、価格が安くて購入しやすくても注意が必要。管理費に含まれている積立金が少ないと、将来ビルの維持のため莫大な費用がかかることもあるからです。購入する前に必ず、その積立金がいくらあるかを調べることが大切です。

Missiing my aunt already

It is almost the end of a 3 month stay/ for my aunt from Japan.

I'm already missing her!

She was very helpful, cleaning the house, doing dishes, and helping with my open house too.

I feel sorry that I could not do as many fun things this time because there was so much work.

I hope she can come back to Hawaii next winter ------even this summer.

叔母のハワイでの3ヶ月の滞在もあとわずかに迫りました。

もう寂しさも始まっています。

お掃除、食事の片付け、その他私の仕事のお手伝いまでよくしてくれました。

今回は、忙しくてあまりかまってあげられずにごめんなさい。

また来年も来られるかな？いや夏にもまた来てください。

Waikiki neighborhood board

Tonight was the monthly Waikiki neighborhood board meeting. 

今夜は、毎月行われるワイキキ ネイバーフッド ボードのミーティングがありました。

Fireworks at Waikiki Beach

Today was the last day of Honolulu festival.

We enjoyed fireworks from Nagaoka Japan at Waikiki Beach. 

Honolulu and Nagaoka City have been sister cities since 2012.

Japanese fireworks are very beautiful, we had to stop eating so we could watch the fireworks.

今日はホノルルフェスティバルの最終日、長岡花火がワイキキで打ち上げられました。ホノルルと長岡市は、姉妹都市提携を2012年に結んでいます。日本の花火は、ただドッカーンと大きいだけでなく、実に美しい、、、、食事の途中で箸を休め、ただじーっと見入ってしまいました。

Remodel the kitchen

We are going to remodel the kitchen in another new vacation rental in Waikiki. It will have new cabinets and granite counters and we will replace the small sink to full-size sink.

来週から、新しくワイキキに追加するバケーションレンタルのキッチンの改装を始めます。新しいキャビネットに御影石、小さなシンクをフルサイズにします。
