Obon

We went to the Hongwanji for obon today. The priest that we liked moved to Kauai but there was a new young one today. We liked his chanting. 

本願寺へお盆参り

今までお世話になっていたお坊さんは、カウアイ島でのお勤めになりました。

それで今日は、島根県から来たばかりの若いお坊さんにお経を上げていただきました。

In the afternoon we went to look at properties with a new client that I met in Japan. We looked at the Marco Polo which looks a lot like a hotel. 

午後は、お客様と物件の見学へ    

マルコポーロはホテルのようです。

After we looked at a bunch of properties we went to Waiola Shave Ice for refreshment. The ice there is very fine, like powder snow; they have many different ingredients to choose from, even azuki beans. 

物件見学の後は、地元の人気店ワイオラ シェイブアイスで一服。

氷のきめが細かく、粉雪のように柔らか、種類も豊富で小豆入りまであります。美味しかった！
