かWe went to the movie theater last night for the first time in Honolulu. We saw the new Planet of The Apes movie. We ordered the smallest popcorn; they jammed so much in there and it was just the right amount for the two of us. I think the quality of the popcorn seems to be better because it did not get caught in my throat and I did not get a stomach ache like I used to. It was a huge screen and the surround sound system was fantastic. The content of the story was very common; bad guy, good guy, war. I wish there was more of a surprise, or a twist, to make it more interesting.
The theatre is located where many new condo buildings are going up in Kakaako; you can see the crane in the photo below. The work has already started.
ワイキキから一番近い映画館、ワードセンターに ”猿の惑星”を見にいってきました。私たちがホノルルで映画を見るのは始めてです。
ポップコーンの一番小さいのをオーダーしたのですが、しっかり詰めるので、ふたりで食べて丁度良い量です。トウモロコシが改良されたのか、喉も胃の調子も良好でした。巨大スクリーン、音響効果、、、迫力がありますが、映画の内容は、ありきたりで、出てくるのは善人と悪人、そして戦争、、、。もっとサプライズや、ねじれがあったほうが、おもしろいと思うのですが、、、。
この映画館は、今後たくさんのコンドミニアムが建設されるカカアコにあります。写真中パームツリーの向こうにはクレーンが見えますが、その工事はもう始まっています。
